Protest on Texaco
Shareholder meeting
MRC joined with other NGOs held a protest in front on Texaco shareholder meeting on May 15, 1997 in Houston, Texas because Texaco invested in Burma and supported Burmese military regime to stay in power. However, because of pressure by Burmese human rights activists and other NGOs, Texaco pulled out of Burma on September 24,1997.
