City of Fort Wayne

                                    Proclamation

WHEREAS,      March 2nd is the 55th anniversary of the Mon National
                         Day; and

WHEREAS,     The Fort Wayne Mon community celebrates this day along
                         with the Mon all over the world; and

WHEREAS,     The Fort Wayne Mon community has established temples,
                        assisted in educational programs, assisted in resettlement programs and has                           offered aid to our community; and

WHEREAS,     The Fort Wayne Mon community has become a much valued
                        part of the Fort Wayne community;


                    NOW, THEREFORE, I, GRAHAM RICHARD, Mayor of the City of Fort                      Wayne, Indiana, do hereby proclaim March 2, 2002, as

                                        MON NATIONAL DAY


                    in Fort Wayne, and I urge all citizens of Fort Wayne to recognize this event and to                       participate appropriately in its observance.


IN WITHNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Office of Mayor, City of Fort Wayne, Indiana to be affixed this 2nd day of March 2002.
