Mon Cultural show at Leadership Class of 2007

On April 12, 2007, Mon Community of Fort Wayne (MRC-FW) was invited to educate students and teachers  about Mon culture at the Leadership Class of 2007 in the Arts United Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mi Seik Khamar and Mi Sinlar Non were selected to perform Mon traditional dances.  Nai Pan Htaw, the Chair of Cultural Committee explained to the audiences that although Mon lost its independence, Mon people is able to maintain their culture. Mon culture is not freely allowed to practice in Burma due to Burmanization policy of successive Burmese governments.
