Ceremony of 60th Anniversary of Mon Revolutionary Day

  

On August 28, 2007, Monland Restoration Council (Fort Wayne) held a ceremony to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Mon Revolutionary Day. The ceremony opened with saluting Mon flag and Mon men and women who have sacrificed their lives for  freedom of Monland. The ceremony  ended with offering foods to Buddhist monks and sharing merits to those who have given their lives for freedom of Monland. Modern Mon revolution began in 1948 when Burmese government denied alienate rights of people. Overseas Mon organizations also issued a joint-statement to urge Mon around the world to continue our Mon revolution till we gain our freedom. Click here for the statement.
