Celebrating Mon New Year (Songkran)

 April 11-12, 2009
Mon people in Fort Wayne celebrated New Year (Songkran)  for two days on April 11 and 12, 2009 at Mon Buddhist Temple in Fort Wayne, IN. The celebration was joined by many Mons and guests. The celebration included donating foods to Buddhist monks, performing Mon cultural dances, and playing Mon traditional games.  The celebration was sponsored by Mon Youth Organization of USA.
