Honouring Nai Pon Nya Mon for his Ph.D. Degree

Mon organizations  in the U.S.  honoured  Nai Pon Nya Mon for his graduation on Ph.D. Degree.  MRC-USA and MWAA-USA and MRC-Fort Wayne held honouring ceremony at the  MRC 17th Conference on December 25, 2010. The honouring ceremony included performing Mon national dance, reading Nai Pon Nya Mon’s biography and awarding recognition certificate to Nai Pon Nya Mon. In the end, Nai Pon Nya Mon thanked the Mon organizations for honouring him for his achievement and promised to continue to work for the Mon people.

 

Similarly, Mon Community of Ohio and Mon Women’s Association of America (Akron) also held the honouring ceremony on December 26, 2010. At the ceremony, Ven. Nondasara gave opening speech and Nai Ramonya, Chairman of Mon Community of Ohio explained reasons honouring Nai Pon Nya Mon, and Nai Janoi Marn read Nai Pon Nya Mon’s biography. MCO and MWAA-Akron leaders awarded certificate of recognition to Nai Pon Nya Mon.  In the end, Nai Pon Nya Mon gave thank you speech to attendances  and urged them to continue their education.

 

Nai Pon Nya Mon came to United States in 1993 as a political refugee.  He graduated Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science from Washington State University in December 2010.
