Celebrating Mon Women’s Day

Akron, Ohio, March 19, 2011

Mon Women’s Association of America (Akron) celebrated Mon Women’s Day in Akron, Ohio on March 19, 2011. The celebration was attended by MRC -Akron leaders, members of MWAA, and Mon Buddhist Monks. The celebration programs included reading join-statement and donating food to Buddhist monks. Mon Women’s Day has been celebrated to promote women rights, empowerment, and equality in Monland and also encourage women to participate in social, political and economic activities.
