2. "The civilizations of Southeast Asia went through their formative period from the 2nd to the 9th centuries A.D. in Central Vietnam (Champa) Cambodia (Funan) and in Central and Lower Burma (Mon). Contact with specially traders during this period, brought many Indian ideas to Southeast Asia and effected an integration of Hindu and indigenous concepts. The term "Indianization" describes this process."
