Save The Salween River

Save the Mon

The Salween River flows from upper Burma through Monland. The river is currently in danger due to construction of many dams along the river by Thai government and Burmese military regime (SPDC).  The dam constructions cause not only environmental destructions but also destroy the livelihood of Mon people and other ethnic nationalities who have been living a long the river for over a thousand year. The following media release, pamphlet, and report on Salween River dam projects are published by Mon Youth progressive Organization.
